Les éclats
The colour must come after a progression; it must come through the canvas as if it were a porous support. That is why the canvas is moistened to be permeable. The colour climbs by pigment friction (powder or pastel) on what makes an imprint. Colour, in expanding, leads us to enter a limitless space. The stringency of the square format and its generous size (250x250cm) enables the continuation of the Lignées [Lines] series while paradoxically accentuating the strength of the detail and the subtlety of an apparent monochrome.
